delo any good?

Chevron Delo, Mobil Delvac, and Shell Rotella are pretty much functionally interchangeable. Ive used all 3 for 30,000 mile OCI in my heavy trucks. Cant tell any real difference in TBN, Viscosity or wear in a UOA. Longest Ive ran an engine was 1.28 million miles but its went through all three brands and several generations. I buy what ever I can get the best deal on in bulk,
If you have a roller cam any of the CJ4 flavors such as Delo 400LE will be fine. If you have a flat-tappet regular 400 (Higher ZDDP) or another CI4+ would be preferred. I run Delvac 1300 in race motors because its what I currently buy in bulk. O'Reilly's has Delvac 1300 for $7.99 Gallon through 7/27 if you are not married to a specific brand. At normal prices Motorcraft 15W40 (Ive never used it) is the best buy at WalMart.
