Default Oil prices. Walmart is over $20 cheaper!

For those who change your own oil, be sure to visit Walmart to purchase your oil. I picked up 5 qts of Penzoil Platinum for $18.75. O'reilly auto parts wanted $39.95. Does anyone know why there's such a huge difference? I realize Walmart has the advantage of being a massive company who can dictate the price they pay for products. Great savings for us...

Walmart is by far the cheapest place to buy oil, they sell those 5 quart jugs way cheaper than everywhere else.

its where I get my oil for both my R1 and the stang. Rotella T6. $20 for 3 gallons and the bike loves it.
nothing fancy for the stang just whichever 5 QT is on sale...speaking of which...its time for an oil change on the stang.

I noticed that most if not everything at O'reillys is marked up big time... Especially the oil!

Very true. I've learned to shop around.

+1, I don't use Royal Purple but they are the only ones that really carry it around here and its marked up through the damn roof! I haven't noticed other chain auto parts stores to be like that, but they for sure are one of the more expensive auto part stores...

You think the bike loves it. I admit, T6 offers a lot of bang for the buck, but I could get you to try something that would make you turn your nose up at Rotella.

Amsoil 10W-40 Motorcycle lube

It will make your gear shifts so smooth, you will have trouble getting it into neutral the first few tries. It's that much easier to shift between 1st and 2nd while using it.

No other cycle lubricant I have used can shift that good. Don't believe me? Try it, I dare you!

With the prices of Royal Purple now $9.29 per quart in all of the main stream auto parts stores, I do not understand why more people are not taking advantage of Amsoil's preferred customer discount member service.

You can buy their best Signature Series lubricants for $7.85 per quart, and have it delivered to your door. That's 25% off retail.

Good luck finding a true synthetic at China Mart. Now that Mobil 1 is touting their new VISOM base stock line that is proprietary to them only, I'm confident that even their Extended Performance formulations will eventually, if not already, contain it.

*VISOM - Mobil 1's unique way to highly refine petroleum saving money compared to a true synthetic PAO*

I never bought into the hype of AMSOIL oil. I dont ride track. I can shift the bike butter smooth as it is. R1 forum has an AMSOIL rep that tends to jump into ALL oil threads and trash talk every single oil that has ever been made and always claims AMSOIL is the best of the best of the best. it got old after awhile and he turned a lot of people away from AMSOIL by marketing like that
