Main page of Mustang Forums = terrible information!
I was reading over the latest post from the main page of Mustang Forums, and was quite shocked at what I found. Here is a quote from a new post called "Mustang 5.0 oil change"
The Mustang 5.0 is a beautiful and powerful high performance car, but it requires fresh oil periodically in exactly the same way that every other car on the road does. It's a good idea to plan on changing the oil in your Mustang 5.0 every 3000 miles of driving or so. This helps to keep the engine block from melting and preserves the overall quality of the vehicle for many years to come.
Wow, looks like the person who wrote that article has been brain washed by "Big Oil" advertising too. I've also never seen an engine block "melt down".
Then tell him to go work at Burger King singing about flame broiled Whoppers and wearing paper hats, while leaving the car talk for mature intelligent adults.
Ive seen engine blocks melt..........in burning cars on the side of the highway. God don't we all know if you don't change oil in 3k miles on the new 5.0 the engine will blow up in a violent eruption and molten lava pours out of all the crevices.
