Default Mobil Clean 5000 5w30

Got a couple jugs of it dirt cheap
Will it be OK for the Stang?
I usually use the MC 5w30 blend with a small amount of Red Line oil additive for the added phosphorous/zinc

Should be fine. I just wouldn't run it for 5000 in a high dollar motor like yours...

Here's a link to a VOA of the Mobile Super 5000 5W30; I assume it's the same oil you're calling Clean 5000. It's one of the few oils I've seen that contains Titanium as an anti-wear additive.

Lizzy if its not gonna be in the car for more than 1k miles, I can't see it causing any issues. Its not DINO is it?

Adding 1 ounce of Red Line additive per quart will make up for the 5000's shortfall of ZDDP. For 1000 miles, I don't see an issue. The base stock and TBN will be just fine at that short of run, and the extra additive will protect your engine just fine for a short interval.

Do not run it without the additional additive though.

Is this stuff API SM?

Would you recommend running an additive like redline when using penzoil ultra or valvoline synpower?
