Default 2012 GT Factory Fill: Dino or Synth?

In case I need to add oil to my new GT before the first oil change, what's the factory fill? It makes sense to me to use the same type as the factory.

Well, the votes are tied: one for synthetic/mineral blend, one for mineral. With such close results, I am still not sure which use to top off the oil in my 300 mile GT.

More input, please.

It's less than 30% group IV PAO synthetic blended with more than 70% of group II "dino" petroleum.

They use Motorcraft syn/blend 5W-20 as the factory fill. No more votes required, as mine is 100% accurate.

Yes the factory fill is going t be a synthetic blend oil. Though I would recommend at your first change a switch to a high quality full synthetic. Amsoil, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple are all three great options that have great additive packages in them and all could easily go 15000+ miles with a highh quality synthetic glass media oil filter. Some studies have indicated that running a quality full synthetic shows sign of a motor still in the break in phase based on wear metals in the oil samples at 40000+ miles. Good filter options should never put flow ahead of filtration. However with synthetic glass media you get amazing filtration and flow. Look to amsoil for several good options for filters as well. Pensoil platinum filters and some frams can actually make the cut. I would suggest with the frams I would change the filter and top off every 5000 miles.
