Does anyone use Firestone? And is Kendal Oil as good as any other synthetic. My oil change is coming up and I need to make a decision on whether to take my Mustang there or look around. Any help would be appreciated. I've been using Firestone for years but, I kinda like my 2006 / 4.6 / Mustang a lot.

Look around here in this section for recommendations of brand/type of oil to use - there are obviously plenty of informative threads here already on the subject; as far as your concerns on Kendall oil I would look around over at www.bobistheoilguy.com and see what those guys think.

Personally I like Mobil 1 EP, pretty much the best stuff you can buy "off the shelf". If you don't mind having it shipped to you then Amsoil is probably the best stuff known to mankind at present.

Use a good filter such as Motorcraft, Wix/Napa Gold or Purolator. No Fram. If you have the space to do it then this is one thing you really should do yourself; you can save a fair amount of money and as far as I'm concerned it's the only way to be sure you're getting what you pay for.

Thanks for the input. I've been looking at oil info for a few weeks now, and have come to the conclusion that Mobil 1 is more and likely the best one out there.
