Default idea to build a track stang'

hi guys, long time viewer first time poster
im shy, 17/f/ca.....JK

ok i have an 2001 bullit and im looking at making it into a track car with some daily driving in mind (20 mile a day commute on freeway at about 80 mph)

so my question is what constitutes a good track car set up,
engine
suspension
anything else im missing??
since its stock its got tokico shocks struts, 400 lb springs up front 650 rear, (or visa versa.... forgot..) 17x8 wheels, those crappy bolt on sub frames and everything else is stock -mgw shifter

what kind of mods should i be looking at with engine?? i was thinking a twin screw kenne bell/gears and no idea for suspension so if anyone could give me some ideas thatd be great...
price wise...lets keep a budget of 9000 with some labor costs in mind

thank you

ohh. ok. cuz, honestly, id worry more about suspension and how it handles rather than all out speed since you have turns, and lots of 'em. power is good yes, but you NEED to be able to turn.

for a simple way to go, check out the Griggs suspension kits. heard nothing but praises about them. all tubular, springs, shocks/struts, and i think some of the kits even have a panhard bar and/or torque arm. both of those will REALLY help out. then all the normal stuff. control arms, sway bars(if u want to), and definitely more meat under all 4 corners with some wider rims for stability.

I was really happy with kenny brown stuff until well kenny closed shop. My next best suggestion would be maximum motorsports. I've used a few of their products and consider them the enxt best thing in the market. Griggs has been really slow to do anything with the new cars but I know MM has been going full steam. Now I know you stated you had a late model vehicle.
So I would say tackle your suspension first, some good track tires like pirelli Pzero's or Hoosiers. A good fucntinal heat extractor hood because once you start those nice long stretches like at VIR, givegerman, putnem man your car heats up like a match in the engine bay. Got to watch those engine bay temps. I guess it just depends on how much of a track car you want and how much of it you still want to be streetable.

Suspension (in order):
Koni adj front and rears.
Sprins or coil over kit which you can incorperate with the Koni system.
upper and lower control arms
pan hard bar or watts system

BRAKES: Wilwood or baer.

Wheels: some cobra r2000 18X9.5 units

I mean the list can go on and on....
Here's some pics for ya:

The Ford Racing catalog has some nice bits, both suspension and engine kits. Budget will be your biggest determining factor.
