Default 06 V6 Mustang Autocross Video

Thought I would share a video of my fastest clean run in the local Autocross this past weekend. It's my first try at in car video, but I have been autocrossing for awhile. Except for the oversteer after the first 180, it was a very smooth run. It wasFTD (fastest time of the day) for a little while, but I ended up not taking it thanks to an EVO and a Vette... Oh well. I need to install new lower control arms to get some of the wheel hop out of it.I took the G-stock championship this year and am now running Street Modified since some of my mods are not stock class legal (CAI, tune, 4.10 gear swap, t-lok, rear sway, springs, etc.) The exhaust is a single bolt on JBA axle back and I love it!

Let me know what you think!

Yeah, well I guess you gotta make what you have work, and it has worked for me so far.

The best thing is that, with the lack of GT power and torque, I have had to really work to find the best line through the entire course since I am not able to make up for slow corners with straight away speed. Our local region has fairly small venues, so it actually helps not to have so much power. I regularly beat V8 powered Mustangs and Camaros, and even took on a '99 Saleen this weekend and beat him by 6 seconds.

You know for a v6 your car moves pretty good.

Ya the one guy in are club with the least amount of hp/tq beats everyone at the event everytime.
This is his car,

It's a blast to drive. I have modded it up quite a bit. Some of the guys actually thought I had installed a supercharger! I'd like to get it on the dyno and see what it actually runs as far as HP and Torque.

Neat car! We have a guy, actually our regional executive, who had a Locost MX-7 running in the E Modified class. He lost a brake pedal at Mid-Ohio a few weeks ago and demolished it. Our regular FTD and PAX winners are either driving Mazda 3's, Civics, Scions, MR2's or S2000's.
