I saw a 2003 Z06 in the other vids, not far from stock. maybe that's the cam car.

The 5.0 "cammer" engine in the FR500c doesn't have THAT much more power than the 3v in the FR500s at 325bhp.

The "cammer" is 400bhp before the teams are issued RESTRICTORS by Grand Am.

The FR500c's have also been hit with more than one weight penalty to "level" the playing field.

I think that's what I saw. correct me if I'm wrong.
I won't correct you, but I thought the Mustang driver was out of control way too many times.

What do you mean about "out gearing it in the sharp turns" or "outmuscling it in the sharp turns with superior gearing"?

I've done a lot of track days but still don't pretend to be an expert, but the Mustang driver was WAY too sideways WAY too many times.

If you are driving on a track for the second lap, you know what gear to be in. You cannot out gear another driver. And the Mustang driver looked cool with the dofirto but that is not the fast way around a corner.

What I took out of this video is that a FR500C can pull a C5 Vette on the straits. Wow, just wow.

I've only watched the first half, but the Vette had more power. The driver wasn't driving a good line out of the corners, and was getting on it much later than the Mustang, as far as I saw. The times he took the same line as the Mustang he held right on it's ass. He needed to adjust his line to pass the Mustang, or he wasn't interested in passing.

In the second half, when the Porsche passed the Mustang, I think the Vette started on some cooldown laps. sounds like he stopped really getting onto the power.

I think he meant that the Mustang gearing was more ideal for the corners. The Vette seemed like it only used two gears, and the lower one wasn't in the meat of the powerband coming out of a lot of those corners.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. The s197's gearing/powerband looked better in the turns. And let's face it... this ain't F1 racing. So the mustang looked a bit sloppy...it held it's own.
