Special Race classes to be featured at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout
Every Ford fan in the world knows that the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout presented by Muscle Mustangs is an insane, horsepower-infused Blue Oval spectacle that takes place each year at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida. This year’s 23rd annual event, the weekend of March 2-5, 2017, will be off the hook crazy with NMRA heads-up drag racing, special events, and a celebrity appearance from Street Outlaws’ Bobby Ducote and his ’71 nitrous-gulping Ford Maverick!
Special race classes take place all weekend at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout ensuring a wild event to remember. The VMP Performance Terminator/GT500 Shootout features some of the fastest SVT-produced Ford Mustangs on the planet going heads-up and wheels-up for national glory. If superfast Coyote-powered Mustangs are your flavor then you’re in for a treat as Hellion Turbo presents the Turbo Coyote Shootout category. The huge performance of Ford’s EcoBoost power plant will be tested once again with the Livernois Motorsports EcoBoost Battle in Bradenton. After huge success in Bowling Green last year, Outlaw True Street will make an appearance once again as ididit, Inc. pays big money to bring the fastest Ford street racers on the planet to participate in the ultimate Spring Break battle royale. UPR products is hosting a new class appropriately called Modular Xtreme where the fastest modular powered monsters in the U.S. line up for big time bragging rights. Presented by Watson Racing, Ford Performance provides the return of the "snake pit,” a special class exclusively designed to showcase the baddest and fastest Cobra Jets on the planet. For gear bangers our friends at TREMEC will be hosting a special Stick Shift Shootout for True Street racers to determine who has the fastest manually shifted Mustang in the U.S. Finally, the fastest 16 cars from Saturday’s QA1 True Street field (usually 120+ cars) will race heads-up on Sunday in the Muscle Mustangs Spring Break Shootout class presented by JLT Performance.
