well, i really want to get a mustang that i want and not settle for something that will get me buy. i think the only way im going to be able to do that is to sell my jeep and my car. so the car is up for sale too. here is some info from my craigslist ad:
This ad is for my black 2001 Crown Victoria LX Sport. This is a rare car and has subtle & tasteful customizing to top it off. This car is a second vehicle and I just don’t really drive it, so I am figuring it should go to someone that can enjoy it and use it.
The car’s engine is a 4.6L V8. This engine is strong and reliable. That is why police agencies and transportation companies/agencies around the US use the Crown Victoria. There are no problems with this engine. It does not leak or burn oil and runs smooth and strong. I recently had the MD emissions test done and it passed with no problems. The current mileage on the car is just about 76,000 miles. Which if you have done your research, is just broken in for these cars. The engine is stock and only has a K&N style intake filter for improved air flow & better gas mileage, so you wont have to worry about any problems down the road. The previous owner had installed Flowmaster brand mufflers to give the car a better exhaust flow and nicer (not obnoxious) exhaust sound. The exhaust is finished off with a pair of chrome Mercury Marauder exhaust tips for a clean finished off rear view.
The interior is a clean tan leather with only a small cut in the driver’s seat. The seats are comfortable and have nice support. The interior is spacious, comfortable, and roomy. Another reason why this car is so popular with law enforcement and transportation agencies. To protect the front floor board carpet, the car has a pair of Husky brand floor liners to catch anything that mother nature can throw at you. The interior has a “sporty” feel to it with the OEM center console and floor shifter. This interior is in a like new/almost showroom condition. Unlike other Crown Victorias for sale that are ragged out and beat up from police or taxi use. One subtle modification I completed for the interior was adding a Mercury Marauder gauge cluster. The Crown Victoria does not come with a tachometer option from the factory. But It is nice to have to be able to monitor your engine. So with a custom installation the car now has a new gauge cluster. But you don’t have to worry, the mileage is true and correct as the odometer assembly was installed into the new cluster. The dash board is in great shape with no holes or cracks, unlike former police and taxi vehicles. The interior has dual power 8-way adjustable seats for you and the front passenger’s comfort.
The exterior of this Crown Victoria is in good shape, but does have a couple of dings here and there. Nothing out of the ordinary, but can be expected with a car of it’s age. There is no rust holes anywhere, but there are a couple spots where the clear coat is starting to fade. I attempted to stop the cycle by touching up the areas with touch up paint. The Sport model features color coded panels like front grille, tail light trim, and rear trunk fascia. The exterior of the car was customized by adding Mercury Marauder corner lenses. This upgrade adds the turn signal light, to add light when turning in dark areas. Custom vinyl was added on the chrome trim to give the car a “blacked out” look. Best thing about it is, if you wanted to have the chrome, nothing was damaged and the vinyl can just be peeled off. Custom additions to the rear of the car include Mercury Marauder trunk fascia with factory tinted reverse lights and Mercury Marauder style OEM trunk spoiler. These upgrade modifications finish the rear view of the car and give it that sporty look like it’s Mercury counterpart. The 17” premium alloy wheels are in good shape with no major damages and are not bent. The car rides smooth on the upgraded Kumho tires, which have plenty of tread left. The tire upgrade puts the tires a little wider than stock to give added traction. The car does have a light tint on the windows, but the rear will probably need to be redone as it is starting to bubble. The rear air suspension still works flawlessly and comfortably and does not leak air.
All fluids (transmission, coolant, power steering, and differential fluid) has been serviced by being flushed & replaced. If you are local and would like to see the Crown Victoria in person please feel free to email me. Due to insurance purposes, I can not allow test drives, unless I am driving. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
