Yes still for sale , you are correct you can get it on ebay with a 3 year inhouse warranty but the are not originals a they are refurnished items, then when you contact the seller he will ask you for a $35 dollar payment to fixed it every time you have a problem with the unit

lol i like you man your funny and you have a point, people try to sell w/e. so they will say w/e. radar detectors are retarded anyways. 2 of my cousins are cops. ill tell you how it works. the ONLY way your radar picks them up is if they shoot somebody else before you. but on the radar gun they have something called a stand-by mode which your radar detector wont pick up and they can still clock your speed, and your still screwed. so honestly i wouldnt waste any money on a radar detector.

I would hang on to the 8500.
The 9500i has serious fimrware problems.
The problems is when you block a known place that is giving you a false alert it is blocking that bands frequency all together.
So if a cop happens to be in that area that you have blocked as a false alert area it will not report the real threat.
This is a known issue with this model along with some other lesser problems like loosing connection with the GPS sattelite on cloudy days.

DO NOT trust that 9500i it will get you a ticket.

Ecstasy your statement is truthful to a point, yes some police use what is called instant on which is deadly if you are the car that gets taggged.
But a smart driver will always have a faster lead car in front of him so that car gets tagged first which will give you time to slow down before the officer can get a reading from your car.
NO radar detector is 100% foolproof.
