No, no scratches or chips in grille ... it actually has a mounting bracket that attaches itself to the grille via 2 long screws w/ nuts on the end.

As far as your other question ... try any of the regular sites. (AmericanMuscle, LMPerformance, MossMuscle, CJPonyParts, etc.) Not sure if they have the actual black metal grille versus the standard plastic honeycomb.
