Shaftmaster's 1-piece aluminum driveshaft. This is the "3.5 inch Aluminum Driveshaft Ford Mustang 2005-2010 V8 GT Direct Bolt-In" unit. Had it on my 06 and shed 20 pounds and removed the notorious "thunk". $420 shipped, or will meet you if reasonably close to 21545

How old is the DS and why did you remove it?

Do you have the adapter plate that came with it? I do not see any pictures of it.

I removed it because I sold my Mustang. Miles-wise, it has about 35k on it and I never had any issues. No dents or gouges, never hit

There is no adapter plate, it is direct bolt in. You attach the transmission end first and then line up the differential end. It will appear to be approximately an inch too short but that's because the slip yoke is relaxed. Literally pull on the driveshaft which will extend it the needed amount, bolt up, and your done.

It was my first mod, very simple.
