4.6 Supercharger Question
I am new here and I am seriously looking in to supercharging my 1999 Ford F150.
I was wondering what I would need to do in order to put a blower from a 2004 cobra on my 4.6 triton V8 in my truck?
Thanks in advance

RE: 4.6 Supercharger Question
Is 4.6L engine in that f150 a dohc or a sohc.
If its a dohc go for it, but at the very least you will need to fab up a intake. Along having all the stuff with the sc like pulleys, belt, injectors, fuel pump. etc
honestly I would skip the ideal of the cobra sc and just find one made for your truck.

RE: 4.6 Supercharger Question
you should have a SOHC 4.6l.. I dont think they even put a DOHC in the trucks.
You should just go to somemanufactueres sites and find a kit you like. They make kits from most company's.. vortech has a good setup. I saw a guy at the track pulling 13's in his extended cab with one the other day. clicky.

RE: 4.6 Supercharger Question
getting an aftermarket kit like vortech would be much less of a headache.
hell a guy I used to work for had a 99 F 150.. with a V6.. with a vortech blower and N20. Was a 13 -14 second truck
