Most new nitrous set ups are all pretty safe as long as they are set up properly, and your car is tuned and you dont abuse the nitrous.

you can get away with a small dry kit upwards of 100 hp shot. safetest bet for a stock motor on dry. make sure you run high octane and retard the timing if possilbe

Why a dry kit when he can run a Wet system, go for the Wet kit and you can go as high as 125 Hp shot..

The "safety" of a nitrous kit is determined by the user. However, let me explain a drawback to a wet kit. If the kit is installed so that the nitrous and fuel mixture is injected upstream of the throttle body and upper intake plenum then a problem can arise. The intake plenums on mustangs were never design to transport a liquid or liquid vapor through its runners. This is more of a problem on the 5 liter engines due to the upper intakes design having the charge enter through a center runner and then make a 180 degree abrupt change to be distributed into the individual runners. At this critical turn the nitrous and fuel vapor tends to gather up at particular places and then feed the center runners more than the outers’. Another factor that comes into play here is that Nitrous and gasoline have different molecular weights. The nitrous has an easier time making the turn in the upper plenum, while the gas tends to lag behind. These problem can cause some cylinders to essentially run slightly lean. Cylinders 4 and 5 seem to be more susceptible than others. This problem becomes exponentially worse as higher power levels are required. I'm not saying dry kits are safer, I’m just merely stating a problem with larger power level wet kits.

The "saftest" is a wet kit since it adds the additional gasoline along with the nitrous, instead of relying upon the stock fuel system to meet the demands. Clogged filter, locked up injector, and it's bye bye motor.

There is no safe kit on the market with a user that does not know it's limitations or have respect for the system.

I think it would take about 30 to severely **** someone up, and I wouldn't mind being the administrator of slow inevitable painful death like that

I may be switching over to my shottie soon.
