Default Exaust Set Up in CALI?

do you all think that i should go with an offroad xpipe and switch it back to the stock hpipe when its time for emissions or is it too big of a chance to get screwed in cali.... because i know o/r is cheaper and gives u a little more power than the catted x-pipes.... let me know what u guys think i should do

1. O/R x-pipe and swap with stock H for emissions

OR

2. Catted X-pipe and don't worry about emissions

If I were you, I'd do the latter.

But, what kind of visual inspection do they do? I know Calif state laws are tough on emissions. Check the laws. If you just need Cats, do the catted. IF you are required to have the factory cats no matter what, you might have to do the switcharooney.
