MAC performance products... are they any good?
im thinking about going with mac long tubes, mac mid pipe and mac cat back.... they sound like they are good products and they have very good prices compared to magnaflow and other brands.... now the question is... does MAC really make good mufflers and stuff... are they straight threw? would i be happy with the performance from mac or should i save some money and get something else?

I just purchased a MAC cat-back system,..I was impressed with the thickness/gauge of the mufflers, very comparable to flowmaster. I will never buy from them again because Mac is a product of MEXICO.

I just installed a MAC catback system, the overall quailty, look and feel, was great. The sound was as promised!! One slight problem, I have heard other people having problem with the fit of the system, at times the tips would be crooked or the mufflers hit. My system installed with ease BUT...................I cannot use the muffler hangers because it causes the mufflers to hit the floorboard, the hangers are about 2 inches to short. I havent solved this problem yet its been to cold to work on my car!!!
Dont push MAC aside just yet, so far I have been happy. I have a call into MAC to see what they can do for me. If they can help me resolve this I believe I paid a few dollars for a nice system.

i have been disappointed with quality ussues with them. and now the mexico thing...... kinda pissin me off. i dont think i am going to support them too much anymore. i know i used to be 100% pro-MAC, but lately i have changed my mind. their cat-backs sound excelent, but the complaints about them are numerous. i think i am going to support SLP for cat-back now and heddman for headers and x-pipes.
