Vortech eating your belt...?

Vortech eating your belt...?
Does anyone know if they make a better belt tensioner system over stock for 4.6s that want to get up into the 7 grand range with a Vortech running 10 PSI? I have to keep mine under 6500 otherwise the serp gets eaten because it bounces around to much. At $100.00 a pop for these belts it sucks!!!

Seeing that is the worst setup ever for a blower we change the belt system to a 10 rib instead of 8 and it helped big time.We have a T-trim with 25 pounds of boost on a 96 cobra saleen and its reving to 7500 with no slipping. Makin 601 rwh .Before the ten rib we had many blown belts and some almost went threw the hood......Reversed blower setups suck for belt tension. We also have a truck tensioner on it which has more tension than the stock one.

You may be right about the reverse setup since I had to grind into the SC bracket a little so the idler would have some extra clearance. Seeing how I barely made an 8 rib fit I could only dream about an 10 rib to fit. Off of what model truck engine did you get the tensioner?
