{snip}...Come on Jakes, did you read about what it is and how it works, or did you just read the title and look at the pictures.

P.S. you can tell from his sound file the car sounds nearly stock now.
YinYangStang - Have you read all the responses in this thread? His sound file, by his own admission, is crap. I installed the side-branch resonators on my '02 GT with MRT H-pipe and Magnaflow cat-backs. It does not sound like a stock exhaust. It has a nice rumble at idle and a deep throaty bark when you jump on it. Definately louder than stock. However you elimate that annoying drone when ever passing through the 1800 - 2000 rpm range. Besides as I said before, it's not all about noise. A lot of people, including myself, changed out the stock exhaust to improve flow and put more HP to the rear wheels. My idea of fun would be to have 500 RWHP and drive around sounding like a stock V6....Surpise! If you like not being able to carry on a conversation with the person in the car with you without yelling over the drone of your exhaust, then have fun, that's just not for me.

I'm spreading the word.

My Magnaflow cat-backs had the 2000 rpm drone and was driving me crazy. I read some info over in the Corral forums and decided to try it. IT WORKS!!!

The problem is the engines strongest tone at 2000 rpm causes the tail pipes to resonate (vibrate like a pipe organ). The fix is to install Side Branch Resonators on the tail pipes to cancel the tone.

Here's the link to the Corral forum, it's explained in good detail there with pics.
Thanks man...but I'm not doing that to my car.
