Default Which C.A.I. is the best???

I have a 2000 Mustang Gt, and i'm just wondering which cold air kit is the best. My dad has the K&n kit on his truck and it really added power that i could feel, but i dont know if i like the air being taken from the engine compartment. I was thinking more ofa MAC setup, where the air is taken from the fender.

Also, how about densecharger?

Are there any others that i should consider? Would a new throttle body and M.A.S. be worth my money? Im getting my intake ported and polished very soon.

Thanks

yep, i guess it's alot simpler to just make your own... two pieces of tube, a couple of bends and a bracket (if you're putting it in the fender)....

Damn, I wish I had a garage.

I'm probably going to try this one out. I'm going to quote tech@ssd4u.com. One thingfor sure. It looks really sharp.

Streetsmart Design has a cold air intake for the 1996-2003 4.6 L Mustang GT. It is a direct bolt in to the vehicle that requires no modifications. We have packages that allow you to option up to a kit that includes a chip (Superchip currently andDiablo coming soon). Also, if you mention Mustangforums.com when you call they will give you a pretty big discount off retail.

The kit was developed in conjunction with Pro-M Racing (they manufacture mass airflow sensors). Pro-M had stated that a bend in the intake pipe in front of the mass airflow sensor creates a lot of turbulence and makes it hard to calibrate the sensor properly so this was addressed in the Strretsmart Design kit to eliminate the need for an extra cost "cold air intake" calibration.

bluestang, buying the kit has two advantages. 1) of course fenderwall air is muchbetter for the hpand it gets rid of all that plastic air boxjunk under the hood. 2) the kit most likely will be polished or chromed to the Mass Air and then to your throttle body, its looks so much better than stockford black plastic....you can try mac, bbk, and others...DO it right the first time
