I had flowmaster 40s and now there are some Ravin mufflers on my car. They both sound awesome except at 2k, there is some serious droning in the cockpit...can't take it any more.

What mufflers still sound mean but DO NOT drone with the stock manifolds, cats and H pipe?

I know many of you are fans of Magnaflow *cough* Steed *cough*. Tell me a little more about the models you would recommend and why.

We are talking about an '03 GT.

thats part of the game when you put any kind of aftermarket exhuast a mustang.. something you will have to deal with or put your stocker's back on...[:'(]

i loose about 2% of my hearing everytime i drive me car. its especially loud when i am sitting at idle..

MD thanks for the muffler info bud...but is there only one "model" of Magnaflow I need to know about before I order (other than magnapacks)? I will buy a whole new cat back, if it will help. The Magnaflow tips look cool anyway.

Are the ones you are talking about the same as what you took off your car?



LMAO - It's not a volume issue. They are still chambered mufflers and the cats are all still there, so it's not TOO loud. It's just a droning issue, especially in 5th, but thank you anyway.

Follow the links to the Corral forum. It's the tail pipe resonating, not the mufflers and it can be fixed. I did it to my 02 GT with Magnaflow CB and it works!

Magnaflow comes in one style. You will need to know if you need offset of inline inlets-outlets. They also sell Magnapacks but that is a different muffler. I love my magnaflows. 0 drone.

I have a MRT Catted H pipe and Borla Stingers and it drones, but I love it!! It's loud as hell!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I had gone with the off road H though.
