first, gotta get a Cold Air intake, new filter, then get gears (3.55...3.73...4.10 are all good gears...my fav is 3.73...what i got), then start your exhaust...go with no Cats (depending on emissions in your state)or gutted cats...O/R H-pipe or X-pipe....get a Magnapack exhaust mufflers(straight thfough performance)...get new headers (long tube is better but shorty is still really good)...then you can concentrate on bolt on power adders such as Heads, Intake Manifold..etc.. and suspension...also while you do Bolt ons you gotta think about injectors, rockers..etc and cooling....then possibly forced induction...there are alot more but u know...

There is so much you can do to it, I say put Flowmasters on it and get a rear gear in it for a start.

Yea, gears will be the most noticible and then an exhaust. I got a Mac cat back and hollowd cats on mine and it sounds mean as hell. Also you can advance the timing and take the silencer off the intake for som free hp.

I'd say swap out the stock gears to start off with, that's the first change I'm going to do to my '96. It seems 3.73 are the way to go, for an aggressive daily driver. I've had people tell me 3.55's feel just as good, and give you better gas milage, but other's say 3.90's...but it's seems a lot of people are going with 3.73's and that'll probably be the ratio I'll be running. I mean, they'll give you an instant power gain, well not so much power gain, but a noticable change in the way it feels and accelerates, I hear the 3.73's really have a kick to them, will make the car a lot quicker and more aggressive. maybe not the cheapest mod, but the best bang for the buck mod forsure!

lose the intake air silencer and install a low restriction air filter like a K&N
cold air intake
get chip for ECU
headers and cat back exhaust
rear gears like 3.73's if auto, 3.55 if manual
heads, cam, throttle body, intake
