Default budgeted turbo. please help!

i am depressed, i was recently at a crusin in show, and got served by a turboed stang. i want a turbo application but dont have 3 g's to toss, let alone a grand. Is it possible to buy the turbine/compressor and build the rest, without needing an intercooler? What about the electric turbos? They sound alright, cheap and easy. Is this the way to go? Please HELP ME!

prolly not, turbo systems are expensive as hell, im droppin 6k for the twin turbo kit alone, and the single kits I've seen are like 3.5-4k. Building would require fabrication, and no intercooler would mean low boost, don't know much abouth the electrics.

You wouldnt be to smart if you didnt intercool a turbo kit. You could just buy a turbine and fab the rest... but that sure is a lot of fabbing.. A LOT... lol. I would just wait and save up for a kit from www.turbochargedpower.com . They are unbeatable in the mustang turbo market.

Kiss your idea goodbye man. I'd give a kidney if someone could slap a well operating turbo on my car for 3k.

There is hope, you can do it for under a grand. As for intercooling, you can only run around 6psi w/o one, but have no fear. We can thank used turbo cars for this. There are two really cheap routes for intercooling. Go to a salvage yard & buy an intercooler from an old diesel & cut it in half, or buy like 3 intercoolers from old DSM's (eclipses, talons, lasers) & weld them inline. Piping can very well be done yourself & it's not that hard. Anything you need to know just ask.

If you have 2 months to test fit time and time again it can be done.

It's not going to happen.

Why is it not going to be done? JJ94GT those electric s/c's are pieces of shat, only way you MIGHT see any gain is if you put 3 on in parallel.
