Hey guys how it going, sorry to use this forum but nobody else any were knows any thing or just doesn't like to answer question's. I have a 1988 lx mustang (2.3 5 spd) and I have a 1992 3.8 super coupe motor ( Have everything to make it run)ie, supercharger, intercooler, computer, wiring harness.......... everything. What I need to know is, will this conversion be possible. Will the motor be able to bolt up to a T5 trannie and will it bolt into a mustang of this year? I know that the 1986 mustangs came from the factory with 3.8, what i was thinking is using the front end out of an 86 and knowing that the 3.8 block will just bolt in or will it work with the 1988 mounts in the car? Has any body ever done this type of conversion and if so do you have any info on it ?
Thanks alot
Ps, A 5.0 isnt an option because those damn insurance agents any were wont insure a 16 year old for a V8 mustang. Supercharged 3.8 is the alternative.

If you have all the parts out of the cars try matching everything up on the hoist or on the floor. then with a few measurements you can fabricate any mounts or other such things. Be a little creative. Ive made dumber things than this work!!! LOL<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley16.gif> Go for it

As far as the insurance goes, dropping a 5.0 in a 4 cyl. body should still be considered a 4 banger to the ins. co. At least thats how it works in NJ. Dont offer them information they dont ask for.
