Methanol/Water Injection?

Methanol/Water Injection?
Has anyone used the Snow Performance Boost Cooler set up? Looks like a great alternative to using the MSD boost timing retard. Tempted to put one on my blown 91 but not sure the $300 is worth it.

Get it, it can add alot of horsepower cause it cools down the intake charge by evaporating the water/methanol in the intake air(same reason you get cold gettieng out of the shower). Adding a water injection kit should boost your hp and then because it also prevents detonation you can add more boost and/or bring your timing more advanced which should give you even more power. The only problem is you have to keep refilling the bottle...but thats not so bad. As for this kit...I have never seen it used, it just came out, but the company claims gains of up to 100hp. I'm sure on a street setup the gains would be more modest, depending on whether you up boost or not, but I'm sure you could gain 25+ horsepower for only the price of refilling the bottle.

I believe I will give it a try. I'm afraid of the 100+ degree California days ahead and no intercooler. I'm suprised you don't hear more about this kind of intercooler given the traditional air/air or air/water rob boost from you. We'll see how well it works.

And yeah, that's for a GN. Granted it's a General Motors ride, but you can slap it on anything.
