What do you think about used S/Cs
Hey i was just wondering what everyone thought about used superchargers... Things like, is it worth saving money by buying a used one? if so whats the oldest used one you would recommend or with how many miles? Ebay has some good deals on used one's just wanted to know if it's worth it. Oh, and what problems should I look for if buying a used one, what things get worn over time...etc.. any help would be sweet, i'd like to be blown asap!

If you are going to be getting a used supercharger have it tested to make sure it holds boost. What happens is after it gets hot it expands and air blows through the seals thus creating a massive drop in PSI, you can have a 15# S/C and does fine at first then after driving for a few mins your only pushing 5#'s!
You might want to make sure the gears on the inside of the S/C are in good shape, not worn. Check for oil leaks too. Hope this helps, any questions just ask.
