Alright, I have a Basani Catback on my 02 GT.
I still have stock headers and H pipe (with 4 cats).
If I were to swap in a Basani X pipe (not the off road one) would that make a big difference? What about headers... Would they make a bigger difference or is it only worthwhile to do them both. I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck but both parts are expensive. If anyone knows a cheap place to get basani parts, let me know. I was looking at possibly getting the parts used from ebay but I'm not sure if that is a good idea with exhaust parts. Any input would be appreciated.

Well unless you have a hard-on for Bassani then I would suggest trying to get a set of LT's from BBK or Mac. Bassani only makes Mid length headers. The LT's and a Bassani X pipe will be the best bang for your money. I have that setup except with Magnaflows and it sounds awsome and runs great. Why do you want to go catted though? Are emissions bad where you live?

Do just the X pipe if your concerned about money, that will definately give you some ponys getting rid of that crappy 4 catted H! If you can do the LT's, do what JD suggested.

I run the BBK LT's and their O/R X with my Magnas and it ROCKS!

Thanks for the information, I didn't know that long tubes made a difference.
I think i'll grab a pair along with the Basani X pipe... and yeah, emissions in Philly are a b****.
