hah wow vert_lover that actually helped out a lot, so a LT takes away all the catbacks? what exactly is a "catback". is it something to make the sound quieter? and as you said the more of them you remove the more louder it will be and better performance? and the magnapack what exactly is that?

Looks like you're getting "cats" confused with "catback". Cats is just a shortened name for catalytic converters...which are located on the mid-pipe (x or h). Catback is the section of the exhaust that connects from the mid-pipe on back and includes the mufflers. So yes, Magnapacks are a brand of muffler but if you buy the magnapacks catback it will be the whole section including magnapacks mufflers. Now back to the cats or catalytic convertes. They are an emmissions piece. If you do not have testing in your state then you could go with a mid-pipe (x or h) which does not have any cats on it which will result in more power. Oh and the longtubes has nothing to do with cats. Those are a type of exhaust header.

ah i see cool, yea it turns out i know this guy that knows a lot about cars hes worked on them his whole life i asked him hella questions and he was hella cool about it. he fixes up Del Sols and makes em look pretty sick, i'll admit he does a good job even tho it's not my kinda car. he said he can do any kinda mod work or really anything i needed help with which is cool. yea he said to just get a smog then i got 2 years before i have to bolt the stock exhaust back on lol because thats how often you gotta do the emmision test around here.

yeah, i live in santa rosa, its an hour from SF, you gott smog your car every 2 years............. but my mom lives in lake county, about an hour from me, so next time i get a smog, im registering the car up at her house.. that way i never have to smog it again, the only downside is i will have problems selling it later down the road, but it will be so worth it and pretty damn fast!!
