Any difference in horse power with and without cats?

big between non & stock cats, but not big between none and aftermarket high-flow cats

about 5 hp between no cats and high flow cats. Stock there are 4 cats, high flow cats only have 2 and they arnt as dense. And you can still pass emissions too!

Just remember that you will not pass emmissions with longtubes and an off road x pipe, but your car will sound bad *** and loud too.

I dunno I had the BBK H pipe in without cats with a mac w/ mac exhaust and it was anoying loud

To each his own, I wish mine was louder, after a nite at the races with all the open header cars mine sounds quiet, of course it is not, my wife thinks its obnoxous, its all relative.

i was just curious, if you totally removed the cats and had it go straight from the manifolds to the muffler, would it give the O2 sensors a bad reading and pull timiming, fuel, etc.?
