replace the stock cats with an aftermarket x pipe with cats
just removing good cats with straight pipe will net you less than 5 hp.
and you will be breaking the law, and we really do not need more junk in the air.

SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE F*CK UP, N00B!!! LOL
ROFLMFAO. took the words right out my mouth.

Jeez guys, a little bit harsh on the new newbie? LOL, anyways, what are the real "experts" opinions? do the pro's (little more sound, few ponies) outweigh the cons(smell)? will i even gain anything? i really dont want to do a full catback so putting in a new x or h pipe is out of the question.

thanks

Well you answered your on question when you said - "Pros (little more sound, few ponies)", thats all you need to hear. You get more power and a louder tone! You gotta domestic V8! Get that catless mid-pipe on, back in a garage and smell those wonderful fumes boy! You wont be the one smelling it if you fix your car up right anyways . Also the smell is barely noticable after youve been sitting for a while. You wont have any trouble.

If you do that, you will gain a few ponies and a deeper exhaust note. The 4 cat exhaust is nasty, but what you're doing is illegal too. Not that I cared! [8D]
