Hey jmonda did you ever put that car on the dyno?
Yeah I sure did. I had it Dyno tuned is actually 297 rwhp air to fuel 11.3. I would like to get more horse the mechanic tells me to up the psi. Not sure what to do.
How many pounds of boost is it putting out?
The guy said it was at 9psi He said the easiest way and cheapest to ad some HP would be go more. I asked him about doing a pi intake swap and he did not think it would do any good. I looked at intercoolers but man they are way up their as far as price. Was thinking about doing a TB and Plenum. Not sure
I would not go any more than 9lbs if you want that motor to last...unless you know the bottom end is built dont up the boost....

Meth Injection is the cheapest way to add 25-50 more horse, but you will have to get the car tuned again....

The Anderson Mr. Freeze Kit is the cheapest $189 and easiest kit to install...that is what I have....This does not hurt the motor either...like running a lot more boost or nitrous....it acts like an intercooler. You could also get a Power Pipe from Anderson that is usually worth a few more ponies...

I'm surprised you didn't say anything about this, nanki. This is what I'm planning to do. I'm assuming you have the non PI mustang. Did you really get less than 300 hp with 9 lbs of boost?

297rwhp is actually a decent outcome...

This is what Vortech claims with 9lbs and their intercooler:

High Output Supercharging Systems:
The increased boost level, high output supercharger system, features a fully integrated air to water aftercooler approach to charge cooling. This system will increase horsepower from from 215 to 323 and torque from 265 lb./ft. to 365 lb./ft.*

He does not have the intercooler and 323 flywheel horse would be about 275rwhp..

The only thing that scares me about that kit is the fact that you're literally pumping water and methanol through your impeller blades. I have heard a lot of arguments from both sides of the fence, but I'm still leaning towards the side of caution.

But then again, I can't run a Mr. Freeze even if I wanted to. No way it would work with my Procharger. So I had to go with the snow kit instead.

BTW... why would he say that the PI swap wouldn't do anything? That's a rather unusual statement.

I think that's what they said over the phone. But the guys at the shop are confident they can get around 300 out of my 97 gt. I read in your sig. that you have a methonal injection. What kind? Is it the same one we're talking about here?
