is it smart or possible to turbo a stock 302 motor. With my mods and a fuel pump and MAF? is it risky?

you can turbo a stock motor you just cant run a lot of boost, as long as you tune it on the dyno you should be fine

Run under 9lbs, you will be fine. Dont expect huge results with stock heads.

if you have the money to invest in a turbo setup, then spend an extra 300 and get a bigger MAF, injectors and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If your stock i would go with 30 lbs injectors for low boost.

A HP turbo kit will bring you up around the 500 mark with stock heads, and thats at around 8-9 psi. Very sick shiate! You could force quite a bit of air through those stock heads when your shoving it in with a S/C or a Hair dryer. Your efficiency might not be as good as it would be with a set of AFR's but you can still make some massive power. Remember, stock 5.0 blocks dont like 500+ HP! Be careful.

Theres gonna be someone with a horror story for every company. The HP kit I saw on a fox here is planting 450 at around 9psi and looks amazing. The guy that installed it was a client of mine. Ive heard some people say Vortechs are crap, some have said Prochargers are crap, heard some bad things about Kenne Bell too. Point is, just research every option that you can and pick the one that you feel best with. Theres gonna be someone with a bad experience in every category. Ive yet to personally see that with HP though. MM&FF magazine also had very high praises for them as well.
