96 GT suggestions
Hey. I think its time to give my 96 mustang some more power. What are some good basic mods to get the car more horsepower and torque? 96 mustangs have 6 c converters... 6!! would replacing those with straight pipe be a good start? How about some chips.. Anyone have a good performance chip recommendation?</P>

First and foremost, don't do a chip unless you have an auto or need to address gear changes or need a good timing curve and fuel curve for a supercharger or turbocharger. The dont do anything on a stock 5sp car other than jack ignition timing. And a great placeto start would be with an aftermarket h or x pipe and a good cat-back system. You can do both for under 500 bucks total.</P><edited><editID>mdvaldosta</editID><editDate>37901.8685648148</editDate></edited>

Well, unfortunately... it is an automatic. Do you have any suggestions on good cat-back systems? How about K&N air filters.. those seem to be popular?? Those add any difference?</P>
