They're good if you plan to use a twin setup. Don't get the ihi turbos on 87-88 turbocoupes. two .48 or .63 t3's are good. I'd go with the .63's if you plan on doing alot of future work to the engine. Make sure you don't mix & match though, Don't try to run a .48 on one bank & .63 on the other bank.

".63 a/r" will be written on the .63 exhaust housings, the .48's don't have anything written on them & look just a wee bit different. (at least none that i've seen have anything written on exhaust & i've seen quite a few in person)

there's nothing bad about them. for what you're wanting they're a little small. You can still run them, but you'll run out of steam on top end, the ihi's are very small.

i'm not too familiar on turbos BUT go look onhellion's website, i know a few guys that swear buy them. but some1 mentioned that u dont wanna go cheap, and they r right. an F/I system is not something u wanna jerry rig. especialy since u r keeping stock shortblock, u r only looking at around 10 psi, so i dont even kno if u can reach the numbers u r talking about w/o scattering your internals...so dont reach for the sky when your budget cant even get u off the ground. play it safe.

well, there is a difference between being cheap (ebay turbo) and getting a tried and true turbo off a car that came with it. im not worried about scattering my internals forged is a wonderful thing, the block will split before my internals go. my budget is very low, but my fab skills and rebuilding skill are pretty good. im not the best, but im good.

looks like some of the SR20 cars may have turbo's like the T28 by garett....so which of the turbo's would be better for my application the TC turbo or the T28?

I helped a buddy of mine swap a sr20 into a s14 (240sx) and that stock turbo is wayyy too small for a v8.
