Turbo or Supercharger?

Turbo or Supercharger?
So I figured I would move this topic out of the stickied $1500 vortec supercharger thread. With that said ill get to the point:
I plan on picking up a 1999+ Mustang V6 or Mustang GT in the very near future. I have been doing as much research as I can on my own. I havent been able to find a Turbo/Turbo kit for a V6 mustang yet. And I am looking to get the best bang for my buck w/o cutting corners. My goal is to have a reliable 300-400hp Daily Driver. Where I am stuck is to either go w/ the turbocharger or supercharger.
All advice,comments and knowledgeis welcome!
Thanks in advance.

RE: Turbo or Supercharger?
ah,
well from what i understand. Turbo would make more Low rpm power(around 2k i believe). and Superchargers can put some strain on the engine/pullies. However i am not sure how much strain a turbo would put on a engine. and how much boost would be safe to use. but if its anything like a supercharger it would be between 5-9spi correct? as stated before, im just looking for a reliable/powerful DD. and Dont want my engine to last a while!
also. Would the GT's 4.6L engine take turbo/supercharging better then the V6's 3.8L?

The GT will be a better platform if your wanting 3-400whp. I made 400 at 8psi with my old s-trim, paxton intercooler, TFS elbow, and full exhaust. 11psi made 430whp but thats the max you want on stock engine. Where a v6 on 8psi is going to make about 100 less hp with the same blower. I know a guy that has a 600whp single turbo v6 and it runs 9's in the 1/4 mile. He has a built bottom end with custom grind cams, ported heads, auto, air/water intercooler, huge turbo, and alot more. There was a guy with a teal v6 mustang on the boards somewhere that did a custom DIY turbo kit and ended up with around 400whp I think...but its really involved project

yeh i mean the v6 is good for fuel economy which is why i am looking at a v6. And from what i get from your post. At 8psi a v6 would put down 300hp. Right now i am going to limit my self at 300-350hp (instead of 400), but want something w/ the potential to do more down the road if i want. howver the v6 would be cheaper to purchase. and my parents want me to get a automatic, so that wont affect me beable able to supercharge/turbo the car would it?
also what type of gas mileage were you getting on your supercharged GT? and do you have to use 89 or 91 octane w/ supercharged mustangs? or can you continue to use 87?
