Novi 2000...does size matter?

Novi 2000...does size matter?
I have a 2000 Mustang GT and I've been planning on purchasing a supercharger for a while, and I was considering getting the Vortech V2sq or the Procharger P1sc to make around 8 psi of boost. Now, I've also been looking at the Novi 2000 unit which can produce more boost. However, I don't want to exceed 9 PSI with a tune of 400HP and 400lbs tq. I'm not planning of changing the internals of the engine, at least not for a while. My question is, if I were to get the Novi 2000 and tune it to 8 or 9 psi, would my efficiency go down because of the sheer volume of the unit or the fact that the moving parts (impeller, etc) are larger? If I were to get my engine bored and stroked in the future, I'm not planning on pushing over 15 psi, and I know the smaller head units are limited when it comes to efficiency at higher boost levels. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Is the T-trim more efficient overall than the novi 2000? I've always liked Vortech. I'll get an a/a intercooler setup because I don't want to deal with maintaining the cool water often.

I think the n2000 flows slightly more cfm.

you'll need morethan 8 or 9 lbs to make 400hp at the wheels I have the vortech v2sq on my daily driver and I like it. Not that there is anything wrong with paxton or the procharger, I like the the noise they make but it will get annoying to some if you drive it everyday. get what ever blower you like with an intercooler and run 9-10 pounds and you'll be happy

wow, I guess a ton of miss information here. Novi 2200 (basically the new version of the 2000) basically whoops the crap out of a T trim, it will produce far more than i'm running, and I'm running a T-trim (mind you at only 15psi as well). The Novi 2000 is a very, very capable blower and frankly, is too much if you don't know if your ever going to upgrade the internals.
If your only looking to get 400hp, I would go with the sq, It's quiete, efficient, and will be more than enough to support your needs.

Where a superchargers efficiency point is will depend on the size & trim of the s/c. how much cfm you're moving will effect it, as will the pressure you're running. So a supercharger that's most efficient for your setup now is not going to be the most efficient supercharger after more mods.
Likewise, a bigger supercharger isn't going to be as efficient as a smaller one on an engine with less done to it.
