Alright heres the story. I have a friend at work that has a friend that works at a mustang customization shop and he says he can get me a great deal on a cat-back exhaust. He said that he could get me a Bassani cat-back for $500. Is that worth it? I looked on youtube for an exhaust clip but I couldnt find one of a 96-98 GT. Could anybody give me an idea of what a bassani cat back would sound like? Let me here your opinions please.

A friend of mine had a Magnaflow catback on his 92 5.0. It was really mellow. It was not louder than stock, but was deeper. I have never heard a Bassani catback. I have the X-pipe and I like it. Both are good choices. Hard pressed I would go for Bassanni

I would look into mac if you really want your stang to sound mean.

Be careful about which Basanni he is selling you. The BX stainless modular system is the best and costs ~$1K or so. I have it on my 01 cobra. Check out the before (stock) and after clip (link in my signature). It sounds awesome. Especially when you give it a healthy rev.

u can get yourself a bassani exhaust for 500 thats not a deal
