yes i tried the search, really didnt see what i was looking for. What are our current options for swapping a 5.4 as far as intake manifold? Using 3 valve F-150 heads and intake manifold wont fit under the hood right? how bad does widening 4.6 manifold kill airflow?

Does anyone have a link to a comprehensive list of choices of head/manifolds for 5.4's that'll work under a mustang hood? maybe even blowers that'll work? id like to build a blown 5.4 either 2 or 4v eventually.

I have a chance to purchase a 99 complete cobra motor, I know I could use the 4v heads and manifold with adaptors right? What's a good price for a 60k + cobra motor?

why not buy a 5.4triton block out of an f150, your 3 valve heads will work on it, or buy some ported ones. get a blower or an aftermarket intake manifold.

3v will fit, but the swap is more complicated - it all depends on what all your planning to retain in your car. the 4v will be easier - but if you doing a 5.4 then youll probably want to buy a navi 4v 5.4L - but if your going to have the heads worked then it wont matter than much. the 2v adapters i believe will make almost any 2v intake work
