headers, midpipes..
got a few newb questons..
First up, what's the difference between shorty and "normal" midpipes?
Secondly, I wanna do a full exhaust (headers, midpipes, catback) on my 'stang in a few weeks.
I want catted h-pipes (i prefer sound down low than up top), but since i live up north there's sand on the roads in the winter.
Plus i live near the beach, so there's sand everywhere anyway
therefore, I need stainless steel
all of the h-pipes I've seen are MAC or bbk and MAC's are aluminized steel, kinda limiting me to using BBK midpipes
the headers that will fit with the bbk are the bbk headers, correct?
however, I heard from here (don't remember when, don't remember exactly what was said) that bassani and one other brand's headers are easier to install than "cheaper" brand's headers
obviously i want the easier to install headers, and i'll spend the extra money to get them, but are there any that will fit with h-pipes and if so what's the brand?
edit: also, some of these headers and midpipes (and catbacks) i'm seeing say they're offroad, even the midpipes that DO have cats.. why is that?

RE: headers, midpipes..
shorty mid-pipes are for use with long-tube headers.
Some pipes even with cats will not pass emissions in some states
Amd the Bassannis are easier to install b/c they're mid-legnth, not long tube headers. The MAC are HTS coated, so you should be ok.

RE: headers, midpipes..
do you get same performance increase out of the midlength headers as longtube?
and do you have to use bassani midpipes w/ those headers?
