i have a 97 GT with no mufflers.the rest of the exhaust is stock.it's loud but not as loud as i taught.
on idle or at low rev,it's nat bad at all.but open throttle....niiice.
so when i see a cop i just keep the rev down.
been like that for around 2 years never been stop by the cops so far for that.
but you have an 2005 so might be a little louder than mine.

If you want your mustang to sound like a machine gun at WOT then go for it. When you pass by in traffic people are gonna be looking for a truck instead of a car. Save up and get a quality catback. You can get a muffler just as loud and some are louder (if you like to be heard). Youll get better performance from quality mufflers as well as an amazing sound.

I ran stock headers and a offroad x-pipe on my 1992 Mustang GT for a couple months last year oh man that SOB was loud it didnt mess anything up Just anooyed the hell out of neighbors and certain people. I went to a grocery store and scared some people. I liked it but put my Flows back on cause my mom got tired of it and Just orderd Loudmouths last night for it. If I was you I would try it if you want and buy LMI SLP loudmouth catback or take your cats off it will be loud.
