Question on Exhaust
#11
Im going to say the same thing everyone else said and say go to youtube and check out diffrent set ups.
What you want is ether just a new muffler or whats called a cat-back exhaust. The cat back is new pipes from after the catalytic converters and back to the tips. including new mufflers. A cat-back system will be $650 for a top brand like borla and down from there to $420 for a pypes cat-back. just a side note i have a pypes off road X pipe and its very nice.
As far as the mid pipe goes (X pipe and H pipe) They will also make your car louder. One big way they do this is if you get an off road mid pipe. As in there is no catalytic converters. Therefor you will not pass emissions tests without doing something about it. But with no catalytic converters the air flows MUCH better and you be alot louder aswell. An aftermarket mid pipe with catalytic converters will make it louder but not as much as an off road pipe.
For you dont bother getting new headers. They are not cheap and will cost the most to install. plus getting long tube means replacing the mid pipe too. costing more money again. and shorty headers will make it louder but again with you being on a budget the cheapest pair cost $300 but will cost you alot more on install then a cat-back.

If u want just sound and do really care for performance just get some mufflers welded in... personally i like the sound of straight through mufflers, ive had flowmasters on 2 cars and i just dont care for the sound.
Take a look at the SSS and SLP mufflers both are high quality and will be loud even with the stock mid-pipe.
