off road h pipe ?
i have the cat back flows, but i am wanting to replace the stock h pipe with a new h pipe; however i'm confused with the off road with no cats. will the o/r pipe cause the check engine light to flash? will a h pipe with cats effect anything? i don't want to void the warranty. by the way my yr. of stang is '03. some insight would be appreciated.

RE: off road h pipe ?
The o/r pipe will cause a check engine light but there are a few solutions. One is to disable the 02 sensors with a tuner like the predator. They also make something called MIL eliminators: http://www.mustangtuning.com/stmilel.html. There is not a whole lot of performance difference between an o/r pipe and one with high flow cats (a few ponies at best). I dont know about the warranty question.

RE: off road h pipe ?
Well when I bought my car brand new the guy was like dont change the midpipe dont mess with the intake dont change the shifter, the only thing that i could do was get a catback. Well need less to say i mostly didn't agree cause my car is just about eight months since i bout it and i have o/r x, flowmaster they have never said anything to me about the flows. The x-pipe proballly will be a different story i mean what is the worst that can happen um sorry we cant do this underwarranty cause your midpipe, "WHAT THE F ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT I AINT GOT NO EXHAUST MODS DONE" then go home and put the stocker back on go to another dealer and they would never know that you had that done. that is what i will do
