Well part of that is that there aren't many 5+ liter 4 cylinders. Put a 2 liter V8 against a 2 liter H4 or I4 and it'll be more of a comparison. People are doing amazing things with small displacement 4 bangers, but it's really hard to compete against engines that have two, three, or even four times the displacement.

you guys I think missed the guy's point a v-8 isn't an option for him it seems...
I agree about the lower end power...but as seen in our 63 ghia while your enjoying your low end power and tires spin were in 3rd 200 foot down the road....but this car in an exception..believe me..I have 3 stangs my S/C car has a ton of low end
