Nitrous for 92 GT 5spd
Hi,
I've been seeing a lot of good things about adding a 100-125 shot to my stock 92gt. Can I do that with the stock fuel pump?
I'm planning on adding headers when the stock exaust goes bad. Good so far though.
I see the kit from Compucar mentioned frequently and am looking at that unit.
My big question is how much extra heat in the engine will the extra hp add? The engine runs ok now but a bit higher than I would like. Should I upgrade the stock radiator and/or anything else? I know that the nitrous would only be used in short bursts and shouldn't cause excessive heat but I want to make sure.
Do you think I would need to replace the head gaskets? I read in one of the posts or articles that if you increase hp over a certain amt, you should use special head gaskets. If I have to do that I may do a rebuild since the heads will be off. Any recommendations on what to upgrade as far as internals whils the engine is down?
This is a mostly driving for fun in the summer car. I may make some road trips in it. It has 93k miles on it now.
Thanks!
