FORGED INTERNALS!!!! (pistons, crank) possibly better rods...also you'll want to get pistons with a lower compression ratio....probably around 8.5 - 9.0 :1<edited><editID>Black Horse</editID><editDate>37931.8227893518</editDate></edited>

I have conteplated that same very question. It can absolutely be done, HOWEVER, your engine is an air pump. Nitrous and blowers can get the air in but how are you going to get it out? Stock heads and exhaust will create extreme backpressure and engine damage will be guaranteed. You would also need to run very high octane fuel with heavy ignition timing retard. My plan is to run as much boost as my A-trim can put out, then apply a 50/75 shot to go the extra mile. I'm running a nitrous/blower grind cam with high flowing heads to allow that. Don't do it on a stock motor. Spend the nitrous or blower money on heads and exhaust mods first.

I ran a 100 shot on my 95 supercharged Thunderbird SC and it lasted about 3 trips down the service road before it started couging and smoking. I pulled the passenger side head off because the compression guage read 0 on that cylinder and there was a hole in the piston the size of a quarter. But the car ran like hell for a few minutes!!!
