Default JBA

I'm planning on getting JBA headers ("optimum length" for easier install) with a JBA h-pipe.

I have a question though; I plan on getting from rpmoutlet and they offer 2 1/2 and 3inch hpipes, for same price; will there be any performance differences between the two? Is the install harder for one than the other??

thanks!!

With a 3" h/x pipe you'll have next to no backpressure which on a n/a motor is bad because you'll get backfires. sure it will sound bad *** when you rev it but when you let off the throttle that when you might get a backfire. As you know a good backfire will hurt or even blow your engine. If you car is s/c then you'll be ok running the 3' because of the boost and all the extra pressure created by the s/c. Usally 3" piping is for high compression engines and/or turbo/ supercharged apps.
