Which Supercharger?

Which Supercharger?
Hello all I am new to the boards and have a ton of question, but I will start with just one or two. First a little background on me... I have owned four mustangs a 67, 86, 90 and 93, but haven't had one for the past five years. Now I am getting ready to buy a stock 88 LX with 71,000 miles on the second motor. My last Mustang had a S-trim, so I am definately putting a supercharger on this one. What is the difference between the A-trim, which is about 1800.00, and the S-trim which is about 2800.00, besides the obvious 3lbs of boost.

RE: Which Supercharger?
So you're telling me it's capable of 10lbs... If that is the case I think that will work fine for me, this car will spend a lot of its time racing through the canyon to the beach, so anything over 6or7lbs will probably generate too much heat anyway. This car will be strictly for play, I have a Superduty for towing the boat and the girlfriend has a new Volvo for other long road trips. This car will be caged with racing seats and all the go-fast goodies I can throw at it.

RE: Which Supercharger?
A-trims are only capable of 45,000 impeller RPM's. At 6psi your gonna be looking at about 42K. Wouldnt go any higher than 8psi or youll overspin it. A-Trims are outdated, the standard is now the S-Trim series. Youll get better performance at lower RPM's and lower heat levels.
