Default vortech surging

mods in sig...during light acceleration, or when my foot is barely on the gas in like 3rd gear and holding an rpm (2000 or so) its starts jerking hard like im hitting the gas and letting off. I can put it in fourth and it will stop but still spits a little. During de-acceleration in acts like its not getting any air at all, very very rich, you can smell raw fuel. I put a new iac on it, it has a good tune and a good maf. If im w.o.t it runs perfect. I'm wondering if my bypass valve may have something to do with it (where its placed...should it be farther from the t/b?). None of these problems happened before the front mount. It has been on the dyno and didnt seem to show any of these problems until a day or two after the tune. Any insight would be appreciated.

I had the same problems. For me it was the boost pipe. I had a 90mm MAF on a 3.5" pipe. I had to use a reduced from the maf to the pipe and the air was backing up into the maf. Kind of like a pouring too much water in a funnel. Not sure if that is your problem or not. I got the anderson 4" pipe and have zero problems now.

I'm ignorant, but when you say the 4" Anderson pipe, are you talking about their powerpipe, or do they sell regular 4" piping?

The reason is that mine has a much more mild idle issue, and I have the same setup going from the LMAF to the stock Vortech piping (with the reducer that is probably causing my problems). I would love to get it all uniform, but I don't want to spend $250+ to do it (I know I'm cheap).

Also, is the 4" piping a direct bolt up the the LMAF? Or do you still need a reducer?

Its an 80mm pro-m draw through maf...Ive been researching like hell and am gonna try a couple of things tomorrow...im gonna try turning the maf 90d or so, and im gonna try disconnecting the egr valve just to see what happens... I noticed that if I'm in nuetral and just rev it and hold it at like 2.5k rpms it will go up then down and takes like a min or so to finally rest at a certain rpm

Also it connects to a 4" power pipe
