Default which mufflers are the best

Im looking at getting some mufflers and having a shop build me a custom exhaust. I was really thinking bout getting magnaflow mufflers but Im not sure which ones better...or louder. Is there a difference between round mufflers and oval mufflers. If not which type of magnaflow muffler will give me the meanast sound and better performance?

Magnapacks if ur NOT doing O/R mid pipe or even a high-flow catted x/h pipe. Or get them even if you are. They are a lot more straight through I believe and are WAY louder then the regular oval mufflers.

Well the Magnapacks would be your most agressive Magnaflow setup.

Usually (that i'm aware of) the oval shaped mufflers you see for our cars are a chambered muffler (flowmaster, mac, etc.) and the round ones are usually a straight through muffler (magnaflow, borla, slp, etc.).

Usually a straight through muffler will be louder than a chambered muffler, but not always.

You might want to check into SSS Exhaust and mufflers. I run the SSS Terminator race mufflers (straight through) and they are very loud too.

I got magnapacks and theyre pretty loud and get even louder when you step on it. Keep in mind though that i have an o/r mid pipe. If your running a stock mid the magnapacks wouldnt be that loud.

I have MagnaFlow SS Axle back system and they are mellow. They are loud when you romp on in but pretty quiet while cruzing

cherry bomb vortex mufflers I will live and die by them after getting mine. It looks like a chambered turbo muffler but its a angled pipe with one baffle in the middle. You can literally look in the muffler and see the light at the other side. The sound is great too, below 2k dead quiet then ramps up as the rpm goes up.

MSD coil packs, Headman street headers, BBK X-pipe w/cats, Cherry Bomb vortex cat back, ZOOM clutch, Auto Meter 3 pillar w/oil press, water temp, and volt gauges, Alpine head unit. work still in progress.
